The islet of Prisnjak is only some 300 m from the western coast of the island of Murter. In 1886, a lighthouse was built on the islet in order to make it easier for seamen to navigate in the Murter archipelago. Prisnjak, lined with stone walls and pine woods, is the most beautiful islet in the Murter archipelago. There is one large apartment and a spacious stone terrace in the lighthouse. It is surrounded by pine trees and is ideal for an active holiday. There are many islets in the vicinity, while Kornati National Park is only 6 NM away.
Concrete steps make it easy both for children and adults to enter the water. On the other side of the islet, there are several beaches that are not suitable for small children. The surrounding waters are very shallow and warm during the summer, meaning that the average water temperature is higher than in most other places in Dalmatia. Therefore, swimming on Prisnjak is possible even in October.
A large pine tree in front of the building offers plenty of shade on hot summer days. Next to the tree is a barbecue grill where recently caught fish can be prepared. Staying on Prisnjak is interesting not only in summer, but also in spring and autumn. Spring is perfect for sports fishing, summer is the time to enjoy the warm waters and starry nights, while autumn is famous for fabulous sunsets.
Accommodation in lighthouses can only be booked from Saturday to Saturday in high season. From September to June, accommodation can be booked for shorter terms.
Capacity: 1/4, without housekeeper, it has three stars, approx. 50 m2, two double rooms (12 and 15 m2), kitchen (15 m2), shower-washroom (5 m2).
Cellular phones can be used in all lighthouses. Every apartment has a TV and a SAT-TV receiver. All washroom facilities have showers. Guests have at their disposal 2 smaller and 2 larger towels per apartment. Kitchens are equipped with sinks, stoves with oven and refrigerators. Guests must bring groceries, spices and the like. All bedrooms have beds with mattresses, sheets and two blankets per bed.
 Lighthouse have drinking water from rainfall reservoirs. If guests prefer not to drink it, they shoud bring their own supply of beverages. Water supply on lighthouse is scarce. Therefore, we beg all guests to SAVE UP water!
Lighthouse have 220 volt electricity.
You can leave your car in the place of transfer. Please arrange guarded parking with the person in charge of the transfer. Their contact number can be found on the Voucher that you will receive after you have paid the full reservation amount.
Medical help is available in places nearby. In case of medical emergency, medics will arrive by speedboat or helicopter from the nearest center.
Transfer from Murter is organized by Mr. Severin Kulusic and the return transfer costs 60 EURO. Transfer to Prisnjak, unlike to other lighthouses, can be organized during the whole day. It takes some 25 minutes and you will pass by several picturesque islets and cliffs.
In order to get to the place of Murter, turn off the main road (Jadranska magistrala) for Murter and Tisno and cross the bridge. Follow the road signs till you reach Murter. Take the road from the town center that will take you to the coast.
Supply of provisions including recently caught fish can be arranged with Captain Kulusic at extra charge.
A holiday on Prisnjak is not recommended to those looking for absolute quiet, tranquillity and privacy. Since the island of Murter is not far away, visits to the island by bathers and boaters are possible.
The islet is home to rabbits, mice, endemic species of lizards and blind-worm snakes. These inhabitants of the islet are completely harmless, nevertheless we suggest you keep your front door closed in order to prevent the animals from eating your provisions.
As with every lighthouse, Prisnjak also has a story of its own. In the 1950s, the lighthouse keeper's pregnant wife went into premature labor. The husband quickly put her into his row-boat and headed for the town of Murter. Nevertheless, he did not make it in time and the child was born in the row-boat. The child was named "Jadran" (Adriatic), while the place of birth in his birth certificate is Prisnjak – Murter.
House pets are not allowed.

Transfer Murter-Prisnjak-Murter is 60 eur per apartment.

When booking, the customer is required to give all the information necessary in the booking procedure. When booking, the customer is required to pay an advance of 50% of the total sum, while the balance must be paid at least 20 days prior to the arrival date
